What it does

The whole path from a Windows computer to Apple's beta testing app, TestFlight. A cloud service builds the iPhone version for you. The signing certificate Apple requires gets made with tools already on Windows. It also prevents the two mistakes that get builds rejected or crashing on launch: a version number that never went up and add-ons that quietly updated.

When to reach for it

  • You want an iPhone app but only have a Windows computer
  • Apple rejected your upload as a duplicate build
  • Your TestFlight build crashes before the first screen loads
